What is the Biomass Competence Centre?

In 1988, when we founded the KSK Composting Service Kaessmeyer GmbH, we had no idea that climate issues that would come to the fore in discussions 20 years later.  However, because we recognised the massive potentials offered by biomass, we dedicated ourselves to biomass recycling and processing at a very early stage in the development of our business.

The generic term "biomass" covers the most varied of specialist areas that we needed to master.  In order to adequately cover these, we started establishing specialist areas of expertise as independent companies in our group, starting with Bio-Energie-Schwaben in 1988.

We are of the belief that the ideal business model lies integrating various know-how streams, thus avoiding any unnecessary over-lap of infrastructure and overheads. Our Competence Centre enables us to apply economic, market driven, and government regulation compliant innovation to all areas of our activities.

Our basic philosophy:  Putting our best effort into working with biomass in ways that are both forward thinking and of benefit to the environment.
